Jurnal Administrasi Publik (JURNAP) is a national scientific journal that focuses on research, studies, and development in the field of public administration. This journal aims to serve as a platform for researchers, academics, practitioners, and policymakers to share research findings and innovations related to the management and development of the public sector in Indonesia. The journal prioritizes evidence-based studies situated in Indonesia and the broader Global South while remaining open to comparative and international perspectives.

Article Types

Research (quantitative, qualitative, mixed methods, literature review), comparative case studies, methodological papers, replication studies, policy analyses/briefs grounded in evidence, systematic reviews and scoping reviews.


Out of Scope

Manuscripts that are purely opinion without methodology/data; doctrinal legal analyses without administrative implications; private business/management topics with no clear public relevance.

Submission Length

  • Original research: 3,000–7,000 words (excluding references).
  • Policy brief / short report: 3,000–5,000 words.
  • Reviews (systematic/scoping): 3,000–7,000 words.

Methodology & Open Science

JURNAP encourages transparent methods, data availability statements, and pre-registration where appropriate. Mixed-methods and computational approaches (e.g., policy analytics, text mining) are welcome.
