Jurnal Ilmu Keolahragaan (JIKOR) is a national scientific journal that focuses on research, innovation, and development in the field of sports science. The journal aims to serve as a platform for researchers, academics, sports practitioners, and policymakers to share research findings and innovative ideas that contribute to the advancement of knowledge in sports, physical health, and athlete development. Articles published in this journal cover a wide range of topics, including sports physiology, biomechanics, sports psychology, sports management, as well as performance enhancement and quality of life improvement through physical activity. The journal also welcomes studies that explore national sports policies, athlete development programs, and the application of emerging technologies to enhance sports performance. JIKOR publishes scholarly works in sport science and physical activity with an emphasis on athletic performance, coaching, physical education, and health-related fitness. The journal prioritizes evidence-based studies situated in Indonesia and the broader Global South while remaining open to comparative and international perspectives.

Article Types

Research (quantitative, qualitative, mixed methods, literature review), experimental studies, comparative case studies, methodological papers, replication studies, performance analysis, systematic reviews and scoping reviews.


Out of Scope

Manuscripts that are purely opinion without methodology/data; medical-clinical studies unrelated to physical activity or sport performance; private business or commercial fitness topics without scientific relevance.

  1. Original research: 3,000–7,000 words (excluding references).

Methodology & Open Science

JIKOR encourages transparent methods, data availability statements, and experimental rigor where appropriate. Mixed-methods approaches, performance analytics, and sport-based intervention studies are welcome.
